A Nation Enslaved by Folly

I said recently, our government, business, unions, and society are rotten to the core. We're a nation without integrity. We've become what the founding fathers in their unselfish foresight and wisdom, did not want Australia to become.

Our democracy has been corrupted by the undemocratic party systems our Australian Constitution did not intend. Neither of the major parties are free. They're both bound to the same master, a monster that controls the economies, and pulls the strings in a hundred governments. It designs wars, financing both combatants to weaken both sides, in order to advance their own quite different plan.

That master has enslaved our nation to a usurious credit system whereby financial institutions can create money at the stroke of a pen, and grant credit lines at exorbitant interest. Thirty years ago, a man could support his wife and family on one income - and pay-off his home in fifteen or so years. Nowadays, husband, wife, and almost the kids, must work, just to pay the interest on the mortgage in time for retirement.

As a nation we're enslaved by folly. The folly of trivia and filth exported from Hollywood. The folly of the gossip and distortions - disseminated by our controlled media disguised as news. The folly of more and more legalized gambling, prostitution, drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Do you realize that our State and Federal Governments are dependent upon these enterprises to fund their operations?

Yes, international crime has taken over our country because our institutions and churches have been conquered by a spirit called communism. Communism means equal rights. And we insisted upon our 'rights', casting aside discernment and self-control when we threw away the anchor of God's unchanging Word, for no standard at all.

You've heard it said by drinkers, 'don't mix your spirits'. The church has mixed the Holy Spirit with the Devil's spirit - trying to be friendly with the world and the friend of God. But the Bible says, 'How can two walk together except they be agreed on the Word'. We cast aside God's Word to invite, promote and encourage paganism into our midst. Too often it's been the so-called church at the vanguard of this apostasy. We've mixed bad people with good people by condoning and promoting wickedness. We emptied our institutions of the incurably ill and dispersed (mixed) them among the population, or cast them into the streets. The Bible says that God separated the sons of man from the sons of God, and that every seed should bring forth of its own kind: He placed enmity between us, and that enmity is still there (Deuteronomy 32:8; Genesis 3:15; 1:11). God's people are to be a separated people and not counted among the ungodly. We mixed them naturally when we rejected the wisdom of our nation's founders, and spiritually, when we laid aside God's unchanging Word for reasoning.

Israel were taught to separate clean from unclean, Spiritual from profane. God is a separator and Christians are separated to His Word. Let's cast down vain reasoning and look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

A strait of water, which is a deep, narrow passage, between dangerous rocks. There's safety in the channel, but shipwreck for those who stray from the strait and narrow way. He didn't say the entrance or gate to eternal Life is an S_T_R_A_I_G_H_T line, for there are many turns along the way, and unless we follow the chart and the instructions in the pilot, we will miss the channel and follow the broad way that leads to destruction. So 'strait is the gate and narrow the way, which leads to Life, and few there be that find It'.

It's been said that history repeats itself. And it does! The reason for this is that spirits never die. Remember, God takes His man, but never His Spirit; the Devil takes his man, but never his spirit.

It came upon Cain, it came upon the Pharisees, right down to this day, it comes upon religious teachers. Look my brother and sister, Cain was just as fundamental as Abel was. By believing on God, worshiping God, belonging to church, and making a sacrifice; Cain was as fundamental in his belief as Abel.

But Abel had a vision from the Lord - it was spiritually revealed that it wasn't apples that brought them out of the garden of Eden. Certainly not! It was blood that brought them out. The life is in the blood stream, not in apples. When Abel believed God and had recompense to his faith, that devil spirit became angry with the Holy Spirit, and persecuted, and slew him. Is that right?

By the Holy Spirit, God seals us to the Day of our Redemption. The Devil looks on that Seal. He can tease and fuss, but he can't get a born-again believer. That's right! He can't, because there's a Seal of God that forbids him to touch It. That Christian is God's private property. Yes sir! That's what makes a man walk boldly. We're not afraid of backsliding. No sir! We're scared of nothing the Devil says.

You see friends, God never takes His Spirit from the earth. God takes His man but not His Spirit. The Spirit that was upon Elijah, came back upon Elisha, then It came on John the Baptist. In these last days It came upon William Branham. And after the Gentile dispensation It'll come upon the Elijah to Israel. See?

God never takes His Spirit: He takes His man. He took Christ, but Christ's Spirit returned to the earth. The Devil takes his man, but never his spirit. He took Judas, and as the Spirit of Christ came back to make His Church, that anti-Christ Spirit came back to make the false church. Jesus said, this impersonation would be so close, 'it would almost deceive the elect - if it were possible'.

The same religious spirits which made the high, classic, educated, scholarly cults of that day, live among us today. The same kind of people are captured by the same teaching influence.

Were Jesus to physically come among us today, He'd be as unwelcome as He was then. They endorsed church theology, and turned Him out because their priests and ministers didn't believe, and called Him a Devil, because He did the works of God.

And keep this in mind - the antichrist spirit is not a communistic anti-God affair; it's a religious spirit. Jesus said, 'It'd be so close it'd deceive the very elect if possible'. When John saw it in Revelation, he wondered with great amazement for it looked like the church of the living God, and yet in it was found the blood of every martyr that had ever been killed for the Lord Jesus.

Solomon experienced all the worldly pleasures and ambitions a man could aspire to, but he wisely accounted it madness, frustration, and vanity. Today men don't try to understand what exists, while at the same time, they make adolescent demands whose consequences are beyond their comprehension. Their confusion between change and advance is a one of childish inexperience. They don't recognize that change does not mean advance. The common needs of life and social order remain relatively stable. Right and wrong, good and evil remain constant: and God's Word is absolute.

Solomon said, 'Through wisdom a house is built, and by faith is it established' (Proverbs 24:3).

A group in Maryland, is developing a 'smart house'. This computer-equipped home can be programmed to monitor the baby, make the coffee, start the shower, dim the lights and turn on the music. It senses whether people are in the room, and adjusts the heat and lights accordingly. If the vacuum cleaner is running when the doorbell or 'phone rings, the computer automatically shuts it off.

Imagine owning a dream house like that! You could taste the life of Solomon, who in his day had everything a person could want.

But remember, when Solomon filled his life with luxuries, he also filled it with emptiness. When he lived for riches and comfort, he ran into the same kind of problems that put 'for sale' signs in front of thousands of homes today. The wealthy who've forgotten the Lord are plagued by divorce, alcoholism and depression.

When Solomon finally came to his senses he returned to principles. He remembered that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that a real dream home is any house, no matter how big or small, that's built on the wisdom of God. Be smart - ask for God's wisdom (Proverbs 24:3).

Look away from earth's attractions,
All earth's joys will soon be o'er;
Rest not till thy heart exclaimeth:
"I have Christ! What want I more?"

A Jewish man, imprisoned 15 years by Soviet authorities for political dissidence, became a Christian while in the terrible Gulag. He was sustained throughout that long ordeal, by his faith in the Savior, and by the memory of the four year-old son he hoped to see again one day.

When he was finally released, the man anticipated the reunion with heart-pounding excitement. How thrilled he was to notice, as they hugged each other, that his son was wearing a cross!

After they'd talked about many things, he asked his son, now 19 years old, just what the Cross meant to him. His heart was crushed by the answer: "Father, for my generation the cross is just a fashion statement."

The apostle Paul saw the cross as a symbol of the very core of his faith. It bore witness to his radically transformed life. He testified, "God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of Christ my Lord, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world" (Galatians 6:14).

What about you? Is the Cross just a fashion statement? Or does it inspire you to echo Paul's heartfelt boast in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ?

In the cross of Christ I glory,
Towering o'er the wrecks of time;
All the light of sacred story
Gathers round its head sublime.

Last week I received a criticism from one of our listeners. They said, 'Do you think you have a direct line to God'. And of course I was able to reply in the affirmative. Yes! Because every genuine Christian has a direct line to God. Jesus taught that this is the evidence that one has been baptized with the Holy Spirit, which is to be born-again.

This may be found in John 16:13-16. Jesus said, 'When the Spirit of truth comes, He'll guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He hears, that shall He speak: and He will shew you the future. He shall reveal My glory unto you. All the Father's glory is Mine: that's why I said, He'll shew you My glory'.

You see, all genuine born-again Christians have a direct line to God. Jesus promised it. Jesus said that the evidence of being born again is that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all Truth and reveal what will come to pass in our day. He said the Holy Spirit 'Shall teach us all things and bring the Word to our remembrance' (John 14:26).

Jesus prayed in the garden of Gethsemane that we should be one in the faith or understanding of God's revealed Word, as He and the Father were in agreement or one by faith. There is only one faith or understanding of God's Word, and that's the mind of Christ in you.

Paul said, 'Now I beseech you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment' (I Corinthians 1:10). Or, one in what he called 'the common faith' (Titus 1:4).

All those who are genuine Christians. Truly born-again, not just church members, have in effect a direct line to God, who discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. Isaiah foretold, 'It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear' (Isaiah 65:24; Jeremiah 33:3).

Jesus said, 'Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you' (Luke 11:9). He also said, 'If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you can ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you' (John 15:7).

If you're trying to call Jesus long distance, you're not abiding in His Word; and His Words aren't abiding in you. He hasn't failed you. If you're carrying-on a one-way conversation with Jesus long distance you haven't followed instructions; you're trying to reach Him by human reasoning. It's no substitute for faith. You've got to come His way. He died to His desires and thoughts in the garden of Gethsemane, saying, 'Not My will, but Thine be done', then went to Calvary to make a way for you. You must die to your thoughts and reasoning so that the mind of Christ can come into you, and live his life through you. 'For you must be dead and your life hid with Christ in God' (Colossians 3:3).

God is not known by any private interpretation of the Bible. Every Christian has the same understanding of God's Word. It's not just a matter of opinion. Were that so, there could be no truth and no error. 'Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus' (Philippians 2:5).

Oh, you say, but such and such a group believe this, and they're Christians. And such and such a group believes that, and they're also Christians. Really? Do you truly believe they're Christians when they're disputing and can't agree on God's Word? Christ is not Divided. God's not double-minded. He knows precisely what His Word means. And if you don't have His mind in you, then you've failed the test for being a Christian. You don't have a direct line to God, you've got an open circuit to nowhere.

We should take His Word seriously, folks. We should cast down vain reasoning, that His Word may live through us. We should lay aside our ideas to conform to His Word, and not bend that Word to match our ideas.

Here's what one user wrote:-

For all his education, Austrian-born psychoanalyst, Sigmund Freud could not predict how history was going to unfold. When Communist revolutionaries were laying the foundations of Soviet tyranny on the corpses of their own countrymen, Freud wrote, "At a time when great nations are declaring that they expect to find their salvation solely from a steadfast adherence to Christian piety, the upheaval in Russia... seems to promise a better future."

How mistaken that godless man was! (Particularly, I might add, in light of the fact that the Bolsheviks who took over Russia did so under the Red Shield of the House of Rothschild, and most carried U.S. passports).

In testifying before the U.S. Congress, Dr. George Simons, former Superintendent of the Methodist Missions in Russia, an American citizen and eye-witness of events in Russia during the Bolshevik Revolution said, 'We were told that hundreds of agitators had followed the trail of Trotsky (whose real name was Bronstein), these men having come from the lower east side of New York. Some of them, when they learned that I was an American Pastor in Petrograd, stepped up to me and seemed very much pleased that there was someone who could speak English ... out of 388 members, only 16 happened to be real Russians, and all the rest were Jews, with the exception of one man, a Negro from America, who called himself 'Professor Gordon'.

Freud was deluded. And so is anyone who believes Communism arose from the proletariat. Communism was conceived, planned and instituted by international bankers to subvert and control the working man. Look at its structure. It's a pyramid with power originating at the top. True democracy, on the other hand, is a pyramid with power originating from the base - the votes its ordinary citizens. unless, of course their votes have been usurped by the political party system, which is controlled by the same people who gave the world Communism. But I digress...)

Freud's failure to predict the future, stands in stark contrast to the hundreds of fulfilled prophecies of the Bible. People may make educated guesses, but only God knows the future.

None of the Bible's prophecies are more wonderful than those about the Messiah. The Old Testament foretold many details of Christ's life and death, such as His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:10-14), sacrificial death (Isaiah 53), and even His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday (Zechariah 9:9, Matthew 21:5).

How wonderful that the all-knowing God promises that the King who came on a donkey nearly 2,000 years ago, will one day return in glory and power (II Thessalonians 1:7-10). And the revelation of the Seven Seals in 1963 brought Him back in WORD Form, to call His Bride out from all man-made religious systems, into oneness with the fullness of the Word, for the manifestation of the Sons of God and the translation. Until then, the same Divine Promise Keeper will care for those who've asked Christ to reign in their hearts.

God kept His promise of the Savior's birth
That wondrous night when Jesus came to earth;
And still today the prophets' Message rings:
He'll come again to reign as King of kings
